Press from our September tour

We played at Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati last month, here's the write-up from Citybeat:

"Leaf Bird began with three members of the band Fingers and Toes and has now expanded to a six-piece group. The ensemble’s music is winding and adventurous, like a swaying, often dreamlike version of Prog Folk with Nick Drake-like vocals providing the melodic heart and an array of traditional instruments (banjo, violin, mandolin, guitars) used in less-than-traditional ways. The band is working furiously to finish its long-awaited debut album."

Canadian blogger Lonely Vagabond saw our show at The Boat in Toronto. Here's what he had to say:

"That was a great set at The Boat in Toronto. A vintage roots aesthetic that draws from an array of influences, soothing yet celebratory, melodic undertones and simmering energy, punctuated with splashes of sonic adventurism."

Official photos and audio visual recordings from this event will become available soon. In the meantime, Here's an article about Strobe Sessions that came out in Timeout Chicago yesterday.
